about

No Thee No Ess is a collaboration between two established figures in the South Wales arts and indie music scene - Andy Fung (Dererro, Cymbient) and Paul Battenbough (King of Despair/The Cosmic Array). Writing and recording together in a free-form way, the songs have grown organically through a process similar to that used by the pair when creating their psychedelic paintings.

Spring Dawn Glow is the follow-up to 2012’s Lights Over The Lake and sees the band further develop their unique psychedelic sound this time with a little help from Ali Chant at Bristol’s legendary Toybox Studios and a plethora of fine musicians.

“Beautiful melodies and wonderfully orchestrated arrangements.”
- Huw Stephens, BBC RADIO 1

“The album deserves to be listened to over and over again…If you like The Flaming Lips, Pavement, Grandaddy, Sparklehorse, The Beach Boys, Gruff Rhys or even Stephen Merritt you will absolutely love this album.”
- No Depression

“…an album full of twists, turns and tangents…immediate and exciting, but with plenty to discover.” ****
- Thank Folk for That

"...sublime acoustic melodies with dense shifting suites..." ****
- Buzz Magazine
